What counts as biohazard decontamination cleaning?

It covers cleaning after blood, bodily fluids, sewage, hoarding, drug use or a death. We remove the hazard, disinfect the area and dispose of the waste under the correct waste rules.

Can you help if the property is a rental or a business premises?

Yes. We clean private homes, rental flats, HMOs, shops, offices and vehicles. We work with landlords, letting agents and business owners as well as householders.

How quickly can you get to a job in an emergency?

We aim to reach you the same day across our usual service area. Ring us with the postcode and we'll give you a realistic arrival window rather than a vague promise.

Do you remove and dispose of needles and drug paraphernalia?

Yes. We collect sharps, syringes and related items in approved containers. They leave the site as clinical waste with the correct paperwork, so you never have to handle them.

Will my insurance or landlord cover the cost of the work?

Some policies and tenancy agreements do cover biohazard cleaning. We provide a written quotation and method statement you can send to your insurer or landlord for a decision.

What should I do while I wait for your team to arrive?

Keep everyone, especially children and pets, out of the affected room. Don't try to clean it yourself or move items. Close the door if you can and leave the rest to us.

About the work

How Shiny Wash Care handles a biohazard job from start to finish

Shiny Wash Care is the trading name of SHINY & DASH CAR WASH LTD. We started in vehicle cleaning and added biohazard decontamination because customers kept asking us to deal with messes that ordinary cleaners would not touch. Today the two sides of the business run side by side: a car wash and valeting service, and a trained team for hazardous cleans in homes and businesses.

Every biohazard job starts with a call or a message to shinyclean.co.uk. You tell us what has happened and where. We ask a few plain questions, then arrange a time to look at the site. There is no charge for that first visit, and no pressure to book anything on the spot.

On the day, the team arrives in marked vehicles with the right protective clothing and equipment. We set up a safe working area, remove the contamination, clean and disinfect the surfaces, and take the waste away in sealed containers. You get a written record of what was removed and how it was disposed of, which is useful for landlords, insurers and environmental health.

We are a small company, so the person you speak to at the start is often the person who turns up. That keeps things simple. You deal with one point of contact from the first question to the final check, and you can ring us afterwards if anything is unclear.

Biohazard work is not the same as a deep clean. The law treats blood, bodily fluids and sharps as controlled waste, and they cannot go in a normal bin or skip. Our team is trained in safe handling and we use licensed disposal routes, so the property is left clean and the paperwork is in order.

If you are not sure whether a job is one for us, ask. We would rather tell you honestly that a standard cleaner will do than take on work that is not needed. Call, email or use the contact form and we will give you a straight answer.
